Questions &
Clarifications

An unhurried space to understand how the retreat works and what it asks of you.

01. Logistics

When and where is the next retreat?
+
Our first experience is being prepared in Mediterranean Europe for Summer 2027. The destination — including region, setting, and estate — will be shared on this site ahead of applications opening. Exact property address is shared with confirmed participants only, to preserve the privacy of the container.
How long is a retreat?
+
One week. Structured for deep immersion and unhurried making — long enough to settle in, short enough to want more.
What does a typical day look like?
+
Each day moves through three rhythms. Mornings are intentional — atelier sessions with your artisan guide, working with your hands in focused, unhurried immersion. Afternoons open up: the estate, the landscape, a cultural excursion into the surrounding region, or simply time to yourself. Evenings are communal — dinner together at long tables, wine from the region, conversation that goes wherever it wants. The structure exists to protect the spaciousness, not to fill it.
I can't take a full week away from work.
+
A week is the minimum, not a luxury add-on. Less time doesn't allow the decompression phase — and without that phase, the making doesn't reach the same depth. Most participants find the week easier to carve out than they expected once they decide it's the priority. You've taken a week away before. The question is what you spent it on.
Is this a wellness retreat?
+
No. There are no panels, keynotes, breathwork sessions, or manifesting workshops. There is making, eating, slow travel, and conversation. Omanit is not a wellness retreat — and that is deliberate. If you are looking for a wellness retreat, this is probably not it.

02. The Workshop

What craft will we practice?
+
The craft is chosen for its deep roots in the retreat's region — a practice the land has always known. This might be ceramics in a village where the clay comes from the hillside, natural dyeing in a landscape rich with botanical colour, or hand-weaving in a tradition the region has kept alive for centuries. The specific craft and artisan will be shared on this site alongside the full retreat details — you'll know who you're working with well before you arrive.
Do I need any prior experience with making?
+
None at all. The sessions are structured for complete beginners and practiced makers alike. What matters is a willingness to be present with the material and to let go of outcome. Whatever your background, the artisan will meet you exactly where you are.
What happens to the pieces I make?
+
Your work is fired and glazed during the week. Finished pieces are shipped to your home address as part of the retreat investment. They arrive a few weeks after you do.

03. The Cohort

Who is the ideal participant?
+
High-achieving women who build extraordinary things professionally and are ready, for one week, to make something imperfect with their hands. Leaders, founders, creators — people who value substance over spectacle and are curious about what slowing down might actually feel like.
How is the group selected?
+
Applications are reviewed individually. We're looking for resonance — a group that will enrich each other's experience without competing for space. Backgrounds are intentionally varied. The common thread is a certain quality of attention and a genuine desire to be present.
Why only ten women?
+
Because the intimacy of the group is the experience. Ten is the number at which everyone knows everyone, conversation goes deep without effort, and the week feels personal rather than programmatic. We will not grow the group size. Smaller is the point.
Will I know anyone there?
+
Some women come alone, some come with a friend. Both work well. The group is selected for resonance, and if you bring someone you know, you'll simply have one familiar face at a table full of people who become familiar quickly. By Day 3, the dynamic tends to be one that women describe as the best dinner they've had in years — because the group is small enough that everyone lands. You'll leave knowing people you wouldn't have met any other way.
Is this really for me if I've never made anything before?
+
Yes. The artisan works with complete beginners. What she cannot provide is showing up — that part is yours. Omanit is not designed for people with existing craft skills. It's designed for people who have always meant to try and have simply never had the right week for it.

04. Investment

What does the investment actually cover?
+
Everything except your flights, travel insurance, and personal spending on day trips. That means seven nights of exclusive-use villa accommodation, all meals prepared by a dedicated chef, all workshop sessions and materials, day trips and cultural excursions, a closing cooking session, optional movement or grounding sessions, private ground transfers from a pre-arranged arrival hub closest to the retreat, and international shipping of your finished work to your home.
What is the cancellation policy?
+
A non-refundable deposit confirms your place. The remaining balance is structured in line with property requirements and confirmed at booking. Cancellations received after the balance due date are non-refundable. We strongly recommend trip cancellation insurance — it is a required booking condition, and it protects you in the event of genuine emergency.
